Your New Year’s Resolution: Protect Public Media

By Cait |

It's a new year. We have a new season of Downton Abbey (YES!). We will have a new season of Serial (CAN’T WAIT!) this year. We also have a new Congress. And we have your no fail New Year’s resolution: protect public media in 2015.

Why should you make protecting public media your New Year’s resolution?

I resolve to protect public media

Yesterday, lawmakers came to Washington, D.C. to begin the new Congress. Soon, they’ll start to make important decisions that will impact your public radio and television stations.

It’s critical that we have as many public media supporters as possible pledge to protect the stations and programs that educate, inform and inspire their communities.

Here's how you get started on your New Year’s resolution to protect public media:

Make your New Year's resolution by clicking here.

Then, share your New Year’s resolution. After you resolve to protect public media in 2015, you'll be directed to a page where you can share your New Year’s resolution with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. (If you use Facebook or Twitter, please use our hashtag: #ProtectPublicMedia2015.)

Interested in taking additional steps to protect public media in 2015?

You can WRITE your Member of Congress or TELL us why protecting public media is your New Year's resolution.

Our country needs a strong public media as a source of non-partisan news, trusted non-commercial educational programming, and local and cultural programming, now more than ever. You can make this possible. Resolve to protect public media in 2015.
