Tell Congress to Invest in Public Media Stations

Congress is developing its annual spending bills that provide federal funding for public media. Both chambers are expected to take up these bills in late June or early July.

Before these bills are considered by the Appropriations Committees, ask your lawmakers to include robust federal funding for public media.

This year’s federal funding process is expected to be tough. Budget caps will limit the amount of funding in each bill, making it hard to secure the investment public media stations need to continue their essential services.

Stations have been hard hit by the economic downturn caused by the novel coronavirus. Securing significant federal funding will be critical to help stabilize stations for the long-term.

Voice your support for your stations and their essential public services in local news, education, and public safety now.
